Bake and Buy

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff of Sciennes

WHOLE SCHOOL BAKES, WHOLE SCHOOL BUYS

We are writing to inform you that the Sciennes' Pupil Council have decided on a fair way to have bake sales.

The next whole school bake sale is FRIDAY 15th MARCH.

Everyone in the school was asked to send in application forms telling the pupil council which charity they would like to raise money for.

The pupil council then whittled it down to three

- SYRIA OXFAM APPEAL Mixie and Ahmed P7A

- COELIAC RESEARCH UK Bea and Holly P6A

- WWF AMUR LEOPARD APPEAL Rebecca P7A

The people above went to assembly and did a presentation. The whole school will then vote on the charity they want the money to go to. We will do this by everyone voting with a cube. Mr Reid helped us make giant cylinders and people will put their cubes in those. (we got our idea from a supermarket).

The charity with the most votes will get 60% of the money, 2nd place will get 20%, third place will get 10% and the last 10% of the money raised will go to comic relief.

On Friday every class will get a slot where they can go and buy cakes. Any left over cakes will be put out in the playground sheds at the end of the day for parents to buy.

Can you please support the pupil council and the charities by sending in cakes and biscuits. Please bring them in on Thursday or Friday. Put your name on tins and containers and we promise to give you them back.
