| David wins two gold medals! |
Very well done to Eilidh, Quinn and Robert who represented Sciennes so well in the Edinburgh and Midlothian Swimming Gala on Sunday 20th November at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre. Several Personal Bests were achieved at this high level annual sporting event. Thank you to their families who escorted and cheered on all the pupils.
Huge congratulations to David Kernohan, P7 Sciennes,
for winning a stunning double gold! His outstanding performance in the
50m Backstroke and 50m
Breaststroke will see him through to the finals in Aberdeen in 2017.
David is the first swimmer from Sciennes to receive a medal at this event and can be justly proud of his tremendous achievement which is also testament to the support and encouragement of his family.
Thank you very much to Anne Ewing (Convenor of the Edinburgh Schools Swimming Association) for inviting us to take part in this year's swimming championships and for her terrific support and organisation.
